X-Ray and Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy is a dynamic/real-time evaluation of the body utilizing state-of-the-art digital imaging equipment.
Our radiologists have many years of experience using fluoroscopy to diagnose a wide variety of disorders and to guide procedures.
Your doctor may be sending you for a diagnostic evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract or possibly for the injection of contrast into a joint in order to better diagnose small anatomic structures with MRI or CT. The types of exams and procedures that we perform include:
-
Esophagram to evaluate the esophagus
-
GI series to evaluate the stomach and possibly the small bowel
-
Barium enema to evaluate the colon.
-
Arthrogram to inject dye into a joint for better visualization.
-
IVP to evaluate the kidneys, ureters and bladder
We also have digital x-ray equipment to perform diagnostic studies on the chest, abdomen and musculoskeletal parts of the body. We are available during normal operating hours for walk-in appointments as needed.

Once scheduled for an x-ray, our office will call you and give you detailed instruction on how to prepare for your exam.
